About This Event
Glasgow Museums marks the centenary of Guyanese painter Aubrey Williams with a specialist Black History Month tour at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre. The tour examines two key paintings and considers Williams’s use of abstraction, color, geology, history and human experience. Williams was born in Guyana in 1926 and later became an important figure in twentieth-century abstraction and the Caribbean Artists Movement.
